What topics are covered within Population Genetics?

The meeting was named in the 1960s and today includes most areas of evolutionary genetics and genomics. Please see the programmes on the Previous Meetings page for a good idea of usual topics. Yes there is also a strong thread of theoretical population genetics talks each year.

When and where is Popgroup46?

PopGroup46 will be held at the University of Glasgow from 18th-21st December 2012.

How much does registration for Popgroup46 cost?

The full cost of registration will be £185 (by November 19) and £210 (between November 20 and December 3), with a £10 discount for Genetics Society members and students.

How do I register for Popgroup46?

What is the cancellation policy for Popgroup46?

Please note that conference services have a strict cancellation policy; cancellations notified on or before the early registration deadline (i.e. one month before the conference) will be subject to a £20 cancellation fee. No refund will be issued to registered participants who cancel after this time.

Where is the recommended accommodation for Popgroup46?

We have negotiated specially discounted rates at the Jurys Inn in central Glasgow, which is very close to Central Station (see the travel page for directions). The hotel has enough twin (and some triple) rooms to accommodate everyone who would like to share to keep costs down. This is the hotel where we anticipate that most delegates will stay.

How much does accommodation at Jury’s Inn cost for Popgroup46?

Room rates below are the total per person for three nights, from Monday Dec. 18 through Friday Dec. 21. If you would like to stay for longer, the same room rates per night will apply (i.e. divide by three to obtain the rate per night).
